Euro Gains After German and French Show Commitment to Overcome Crisis
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, promised to explain the new plans later this month, as an effort to save Greece from the storm crisis still not finished. In addition, they also agreed to conduct rekapilatisasi against European banks. Opposition Japanese Request Make Intervention Yen to BoJ
Japan's opposition party asked the Bank of Japan to intervene more often on the currency market. In addition, opposition parties also asked the central bank to loosen monetary policies in order to reduce the Yen. It is feared, a stronger yen will continue to give bad impact to the economy of Japan. The opposition also proposed to buy an additional budget worth 12 trillion yen for the companies that are currently struggling with the yen at a deemed value is too high. Cut Rate Italy Is Warning For Europe
Italy get a credit rating cut by Moody's as much as 3 levels, the A2. Trimming rating from Moody's is a signal to other countries, not only Italian only. The failure of Italy to improve its fiscal condition reflects a failure of Europe to boost investor confidence to buy their bonds. Moody also stated, without a proper response to this crisis, the rating cuts for other European countries is likely to occur.
